Farmer Organizations are often faced with challenges of delivering gender and nutrition information to farmers. This has often led to persistence of gender and nutrition gaps within societies. Gender and nutrition gaps often retard community development in rural and urban areas. Its important that Farmer Organizations and other stakeholders sit down and develop training materials to bridge these gaps so as to stimulate development within agrarian communities. From 27th-28th June, 2017, UFAAS (Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services) together with the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) through a project called INGENAES (Integrating Gender and Nutrition within Agricultural Extension Services) under USAID Feed The Future presidential initiative jointly developed these gender and nutrition training materials with farmer organizations. Prototypes were developed and are hoped to be pretested by September 2017.
